Common Name: Yellow-throated Honeyeater

Scientific name: Lichenostomus flavicollis

Family: Meliphagidae

Order: Passeriformes

Other Names: N/A

Distribution: Endemic of Tasmania.

Habitat: Wet and Dry forests, Woodlands, sub-alpine forests, temperate rainforest, wet scrubs, coastal heathland, parks, gardens and urban areas.

Field Notes: Medium to Large honeyeater with a relatively long tail, bright yellow chin and throat, Olive green above, silver-grey head, neck and underbody, small yellow ear-patch, black bill. Females are smaller than males.
