Scientific name: Melithreptus lunatus

Common Name: White-naped Honeyeater

Order: Passeriformes

Family: Meliphagidae

Other Names: N/A

Distribution: Eastern and South-eastern Australia (mainland only), a race is also found in South-western Australia.

Habitat: Open forests and occasionally urban gardens.

Field Notes: short slender bill, olive-green above, black cap, white band across back of neck, orange crescent above eye, grey-brown flanks and sides, white under parts.
