Bunya 'nuts' are falling at the moment and will be for the next month or so.
My daughter found this one in a local park today. No liability risk assessment back when the tree was planted I think.

Yes even notice the locals are selling them on the side of the roads and at service station

Hi,

Bunya nuts are a great addition to casseroles and especially curries.

Its raw cotton on the roadside season again in cotton growing areas and cotton transport routes.
Raw cotton makes a great addition to fire kits and easily ignites from the slightest spark.
Take care with the traffic though!

We've got dog rose hips and hawthorn berries setting around my area at the moment, plus a lot of fat hen growing. Plenty of purslane coming up in the garden too,as well as blackberries and wild apples fruiting all along he roads :)
