Invertebrate What type of wasp?

Wondering whether to remove these as they're above a main walkway.

Looks like Australian Paper Wasps = Polistes variabilis.

If they are paper wasps I would definitely move them. I have found the ones I get in my area quite aggressive.

We have several nests of these native Australian wasps - generally find the nests under the eaves of the house. The wasps buzz around me in the garden but are very well behaved if ignored - they can be inquisitive, but are generally hunting for grubs and spiders = chemical free biological control in my vegie garden, so I see them as friends. The old method of removal is firmly tie a kerosene soaked rag on a stick, wait till sunset, then burn them off. Insecticide can make them VERY angry.
