I finally got away with a mate for some walks around my local area. Up on Quamby we came across this track and thought it was probably a Tassie Devil. Right or wrong?
I didn't think they looked devilish either (but I didn't comment earlier), but couldn't work out what they were .... now that you've said it it is quite obvious !
I think the 3rd photo clearly shows a "hand" print beside a foot and tail drag - obvious (now) !
The splayed "fingers" are non-devilish, from the tracks I've seen (in books / internet)
if I was to guess not knowing the wildlife of the area I would say it was a bettong or a pademelon depending on the size rear foot not easy to see in pics
