apparently they make titanium strikers now as well, didn't think titanium would make a good striker as I didn't think you could could get it hard enough.

But anyway by all accounts titanium makes a good striker, though throws a different type of type of spark, and colour.

Very interesting.
I'd read some time ago about a chap who improvised a striker from some scrap "alloy" (and I've been keeping half an eye out for some suitable ever since).
I suspected a magnesium allow, but perhaps it was titanium ... (or a mix, prob with Al in there too ... )

talked to Blackthorne-USA about postage costs, seams reasonable enough, quoted US$17.25 for the Ti striker which is about what I would expect.
