Obviously they are not much good for hanging on your belt or outside your pack, but these pencil cases work well for me.
I can see what's inside, they don't weigh much and they all cost only $2 at a @2 shop.

This black one is made of something similar to wetsuit material but it's lighter and protects from the sharp corners of the folding stove.

An alternative for soft items such as clothing is resealable bags commonly known as Glad bags. These Hercules brand ones work well and can act like a vacuum sealed bag if you roll the contents tight and exclude air before sealing.
