I forgot to mention that as most people know Maryborough, along with most other Queensland towns, was flooded by all the rains from ex-cyclone Oswald. Maryborough had record flooding of 10.65m making it the biggest flood since 1955. This past weekend about 100 scouts who attended the jamboree came back to Maryborough to help clean up the flood damage. This was greatly appreciated by all of Maryborough's residents.
We are just glad that the flooding came after the jamboree was finished as getting 12,000 scouts out plus the normal population would have been a logistical nightmare.
