You have seen the pictures !
This is what happens when you forget about a Carbon knife .
Knife was purchased some time in the early 80's , and became attached to my bush belt .
( Bush Belt ) An old army belt with ammo pouches ( for stuff ) / a army bum bag ( rope / mora / toilet paper ) , a water bottle and this knife .
Now this knife has been on that belt till today .
When my back went bye bye ( injured ) , I stopped going bush !
So this knife was forgotten about for a decade or so ... & the result is rust ! ( My bad )
So this is not about the rust ! This is about the longest running belt knife I had , knives came and went ( mora + folders ) . But this knife remained a constant .
It may only been sharpened VIA Ceramic rod over it's life , BC or Before Ceramic / it may have been Arkansas Stoned .
That edge is very rounded as well corrosion damaged . ( Now / was )

The knife was a user and is over 35 years old .
Cant remember exactly when I remembered this knife and cleaned it up ( + oiled ) , but it was quite a few years ago .
I put it to the wet stone grinder and did a fresh grind , then de burred it .
I have some new rope ( 50 meters ) and this will the first knife put to that rope . ( Just to see how a old knife compares to what's available now )

" a sentimental favorite " = Yes
But there be quite a few of those ... Which I will get to as well .

It's a bit hard to tell , but it's a Widder made knife .
If only I still had my first Bowie knife .. ( Was I 9 or 10 years old ? )

Here's mine, gifted to me secondhand by my uncle when I was about 10yo, too.
Total shite quality, but I carried it for years in Cubs and Scouts, and not something I'll ever throw away. :)
