Hi everybody , I was wondering if anyone has had any experience getting outdoor clothes tailored, specially trousers. I bought a pair of Fjällräven pants online and they are a little big, I want to get the waist taken in a bit but am worried about how that would effect the integrity/durability of the pants.
Any info/ideas would be great.
Thanks
Chris

I can't directly answer your question, but there's no point having pants which don't fit (are aren't comfortable).

If the alteration is done well, they should be fine, and even if an issue develops, you can probably repair them again ....

I've had 2 pairs of the Fjallraven Barents altered here in Perth, as you know they come with a full leg and no turn up. They also have a small amount of thread on a piece of card.

Haven't had to have the waist adjusted, but a couple more Maccas and IPA and I will.

Got them done at a local shopping centre, I think for about $20 each.

Thanks for the feedback, the pants are comfortable but I have to wear a belt. They are the Barents model, so I have to get the legs hemmed anyway, I thought I might get the waist done while I’m at it.
