I use one all the time in the bush. They are a great item and being wool you don’t tend to overheat in them if you are being a bit active. They also repel light showers very well.

I’ve got a ranger shirt and love it, but I really like the look of the merino overshirt.

Thanks for the heads up and bookmarked the site. When my china junk I have (one jacket has stitching comming apart everywhere) finally disintergrates after this winter season will see about getting a new shirt and jacket.

I so want one. I have seen MDUs on several trips. Very good.
I have my wool cloak, which is awesome. Something like this would be a brilliant addition.
It's definitely on my wish list.

I found 1 in a Melbourne op shop for $25! In pretty good condition.

I thought about them a lot before I bought mine as I didn’t know anyone that had one. The things I love about them are, showerproof, great around campfires, long so it keeps your bum warm and dry when sitting around, loose fitting so I can easily fit a couple of layers underneath. The only thing I don’t like about it is my wife won’t be seen with me when I wear it anywhere but a campsite.

Win win situation MDU. Lol. Only jokes. Actually, I must have a look in my local camping store. They have awesome prices on this sort of thing. I hadn't thought of that earlier.
Cheers
