success with the "C" type flint and steel striker

just got this in, wasn't happy with the "U" type steel striker so I ordered a "C" striker and here I show me getting an ember with it. I have to admit I prefer this type of striker and it is much easier to use.

I'm not a fan of Dave Canterbury , but I did see him use a pathfinder branded arrow head steel , which looked to be a bit of OK kit.

fair enough mate, a lot of his gear seems overpriced IMHO, I saw his Pathfinder haversack the other day for $125 (from memory) which seemed really expensive.

People seem to be making all sorts of shaped steel strikers these days, and many people make their own from old files.
