Having no rock index I have just added this here till something can be arranged.

This is a list of rocks that I have compiled from actual aboriginal studies on tool implements made of stone. I am not saying this list is complete. Sorry if any item listed twice under another name, not really a rock person.
Volcanic and Metamorphic Rocks

Also please note other rocks that don't have any importance to tool making were also used by aboriginals for shelter, cooking and fish traps just to name a few.
