Thought I would start this thread for posting miscellaneous animal tracks that some may be
interested in viewing. heres a couple to start.

Web footed bird on sand, possibly Silver Gull.

The setting sun plays tricks with the mind in this pic as sometimes these footprints seem to be coming out
of the sand.

Thought these tracks were from a small mammal bounding through beach spinifex but what I thought were toes
may be hairy ghost crabs feet.

Here's a few I was able to find quickly.... I don't know for sure what they are, but I suspect they belong to a Brush Bronzewing.

I was trying to say I liked the track pictures and was hoping he would keep posting more as I plan to make stamps of animal tracks for my leather working kit. (I made a thread bout it) and Ty for telling me how to subscribe browny!

With at least 1km of fresh firebreak on soft sandy soil I was able find a few more tracks today.

funny you should say that hairyman,...i negected to pick up my glasses when i left...next day, i hiked the several miles back into the mountains to retrieve them and they were gone...ive been looking for a bear wearing glasses ever since!!!:_risata:

From earlier in the year:
Wombat foot prints and scat


Rabbit (left) and fox (right) tracks. We followed these two set of prints for some time. We could see the rabbit moving slowly through the snow and finally “perching” on the rock (left of pic) for a few minutes.
The fox tracks were slow and steady behind him. Then the rabbit leapt from the rock and the fox ran after him, as evidenced by the deep rabbit prints and the greater spacing of the fox and rabbit tracks further along the trails. Unfortunately we don’t know how it all ended because the tracks headed into areas where we couldn’t follow.

Tracks can do more than just tell you what animals have past by, they can tell a story, sometimes a story of life and death.

Great track shots woods, auscraft and aussie. I love the sentiment there aussie that the track tell a story. Its really amazing what tracks can tell you about what has gone on. Its an area im very interested in but unfortunately lacking. What are you thinking for that third photo auscraft?

Id like to get better a reading tracks. Would love to get the experts read on them.

Here are my guesses, please correct me!:

1. Canine/fox?
2. Hooved animal? Bovine? Looks to wide to be a deer? Do idea really. They look to close to be a cow though now that I think about it.
3. Same as above, different medium
4. Roo?
5. Some kind of wading bird? Ibis maybe?
