these were discussed over on the Bunker at length, tho I have never even seen one in person. They look to be a reasonably useful design, tho any axe that doesn't have a handle seems a little pointless to me(I understand you can haft it when needed, but to me that seems like a lot of effort)

I like the look of it. Hand axes have been popular for a few millennia.
A steel hand axe in this form could be used as a axe, adze, scraper or knife; and as the add sais it can be hafted too.

But at $99 I think I’ll add it to my very long list of projects to do one day.

Hmmm, Yeah I think one of these might have to go onto my 'one day' list also.
I like the idea of these as they are obvioulsy very easilly transportable & hafting one wouldn't be overly hard when required.

i've seen similiar but different on ebay in the us. they were made a while ago and supposedy farely rare. i think thjey were called a 'smax' or something similiar. the ones i m refering to seemed heavier duty and could attach an optional hamdle.
