I spent a few days fishing at bendeela and the dam all I got was carp! They get massive by the powerstation there. seems like they have pretty much taken over other species

This that the arm that runs north from behive point?
That's the one, it's a large area of structures ,perfect ambush stuff for bass. I've seen them up there before. Not sure what other species are there apart from carp but there was lots of activity up there.

Yarrunga Creek Arm of the lake works for me, as the majority are hangers, and we are such a big party, it seams like a good choice (in conjunction with the possibility of better fishing).

So will we call that decision made? Are we all happy with that? A 10 km or less paddle with lots of time for fishing and bushcraft.

Sounds like a great option Corin. You will be able to better your 8 fish to my nil from our last outing... Still hanging my head in shame about that :piange:

I thought it was 6 but I will go with 8 in the spirit of a good fishing story!

10km... I am wondering if this might be ambitious for me in my current physical state.

How long would this take at a slow pace??

Question.
I believe it is not legal to use fishing gears that was once used in salt water, even if they are washed, to fish on fresh water.
Is this true?
So, does this mean if I want to fish, I have to use all new gear?

I've never heard that one before... did you hear it from your local tackle shop? Great sales approach

I think I heard it at a trout farm some time ago.

Ok, I'll bring a long some tackle.
Can anyone suggest a good bait?
