Hi Guy's ,sorry for the delay, i'm keen to head out after wk on the sat arvo in question(i'm easy) but i'm really a 4x4 camper atm & only have a day bag...... Have the minimal stuff i need to be happy but no way to pack it in & i suspect my shoulder wouldn't like me if i could.....
I could wheelchair the load in if the path/track is 700mm wide?? Wait that's not bush craft lol
The route to the campsite (1 km) from where we will leave the vehicles is an old 4x4 track which is now EXTREMELY rutted and quite steep. All you will need at the campsite is a small tent/bivvy, sleeping bag, food & water. We can help you carry some of the stuff. Redtail & Bloffy have requested a team of porter ala David Livingston style:non sono stato io:
At worst, you could socialise with us at the camp and return to your vehicle on the hill to sleep - easily done!
BLOFFY & possible friend - high heels optional!
REDTAIL & possible friend
BROWNIE - maybe come with Uneekwahn and park at the very secret parking spot and walk 200 m on flat ground to the camp?
That makes a maximum of 10. Have I missed anyone out?
To everyone who is attending the campout, please PM your full name, mobile number, email address and vehicle rego so that I get the camp fees & access permissions sorted out with DEC. I will email the maps, directions and coordinate list to locate the site.
Doc , PM'd
I'm testing a bedroll combo this wkend while in Moora for a shoot that i should be able to carry in strapped to my daybag. BUT if ppl want to carry stuff i can bring plenty of firewood...... some smallish wood rounds for swedish fire logs etc.........
We have seven guys confirmed for next weekend. I have emailed all those who PM'ed me with a coordinate/contact list, Google Earth KML file and topo map. If anyone else is keen to join us, please PM me.
