Hi All

I am based in Perth (WA) and am a member of the Stoneage Bushcraft Forum (UK). About a year ago I searched for a local forum but none seemed to be available. I was really chuffed to discover this site about a week ago:malefico:

I live in the northern suburbs of Perth and my interests related to this forum are bushcraft, survival and camping, but I am mad keen bow hunter (walk & stalk only!) and spearfisherman. I am always keen to source my own food, either from the sea or land.

I look forward to learning new skills from the forum members and sharing some of my own.

I recently posted a video on YT covering last weekend's solo camping & bushcraft trip to an area inland of Perth

I have no idea why I am listed as Bear Grylls as I am not too fond of the gentleman!

Welcome to the mob mate, I look forward to watching your vid when time permits.

Bear Grylls is a beginner so as soon as you have a couple of posts you loose the title. Like Dusty M said it is a joke, just like the man, but not as funny as his show.

Hi Guys, thanks for the great welcome:malefico: I am glad I didn't get labelled as Bear Grylls for too long!

There is so much good information to read on the forum.

Welcome, Doc!

You've made it to Malcolm Douglas already.

Which reminds me ...
a) who decided the heirarchy, and on what criteria? and
b) mod, please correct the spelling of Malcolm - it's got two L's :D

c) why are many of the smileys in Italian???

Hi Doc,
Welcome and I hope you enjoy the site. Thanks for sharing your video with us. The scenery was magic. As you can see by my avatar grass trees are my favourite.
Be good to see more of WA. Looking forward to your input.

Greetings Doc,

I'm also a Perthite and located in the Northern Suburbs.

Where were you during the filming of your video, it looks like a great spot.

I tend to do hikes around the avon river (Bell's Rapids, Avon Valley National Park etc).

Cheers,

Jason.

Thanks Uneekwahn & Moondog

I was camping in the Avon Valley National Park on the YT video. What a great place! I have not been to Bell's Rapids yet but am keen to get out there soon.

I am also in the Northern Suburbs of Perth. We should get together for a chat and a cold one sometime.

Regards
Doc
