Let me just say off the bat ...... For the price , these knives are not perfect ..
Before I even cut rope , I modified both knives ......... ( I did )
And the only reason I purchased these knives ..... They are allegedly " Columbia Knives "
The fixed blade is a Small Fixed blade :
The grip really crowds my hand , and the only way to feel reasonably comfortable is to allow your index finger to ride the grove in the blade .
Even then I felt the need to do mods
A) For a more natural feel
B) Keep my index finger away from the edge
Small folding knife :
Liner locks - Dont like them ! Why ? Cos my fingers are always ridding it ( liner lock ) , making it near impossible to open the blade .
You need some freaky hold on the knife to open one handed ( un natural ) .
Also the grove in the liner was too far back to allow access to the liner lock to close the blade one handed ... So I had to extend it forward ..
Also if you leave the blade lose enough to open one handed , there is blade play .
The knife is small ! So it's freaky to fidget ! It's not so well designed or executed so as to be really desirable as a one handed knife ..
As a two hander , it's ok . For $15 bananas , the edge holding surprised me .
Video Soon !
