Les Hiddins
Hi everyone,
Born and bred Perthite here.
Been camping since I was a young fella with my old man, mainly around Dwellingup and a bit of beach camping before the suburban sprawl slithered it's evil tentacles too far north.
In my 30s now and try to get out and about as often as I can. Spent 2 months travelling the Kimberley region for my honeymoon in 2007 in our Patrol with a roof top tent. Sold the roof topper (due to our princess labrador not liking being left outside or locked in the car at night) and got an OzTent. Haven't used it as much as I'd have liked and now with my wife due to give birth in 4 weeks, won't be using it for a little while!
We recently went back up to Broome and Cape Leveque for a 2 week trip and here are some photos and videos:

I do a fair bit of hiking around the Swan Valley and recently tried to complete a 2 day, 60km hike from Bell's Rapids in the Swan Valley to Toodyay with a friend. We did 30km and made it to the Avon Valley National Park but had to bail as my friend had hurt his leg and couldn't go any further. That night was meant to be my first overnighter in my hammock so I went back a couple of weeks later and camped the night with another friend and his son.

That pretty much sums it up for me.
Cheers,
Jason.
