Below is a goanna track.Most visable is the swaying tail drag but just visible are the foot tracks.
This is on decomposed granite on a gravel road.The tracks cross back and forth many times per day
as the goanna searches for food or a mate.

In softer material, the claws may be visible either side of the tail mark.


The lizard changed direction here. There are also fox, cow and bird tracks in these photos. Maybe a place for a cam.
