I'm not sure if I'd be classed as a legitimate bushcraft person but I've spent a bit of time camping since I was a kid. Also I've spent a bit of time travelling through the mountains on horseback, taking all the gear on packhorses. For many years I competed and was involved in Endurance which is a long distance horse sport and this usually involves camping in the bush somewhere for a weekend or anything up to 3 weeks.

Ive never heard of Endurance but it sounds like alot of fun. Ill have to look into that one.

It's a sport where, basically, you ride a horse anywhere from 80 to 400 kilometres and have to manage the horse so that you can pass regular and very very thorough vet checks during the ride by qualified horse specialist vets.
