I currently reside in suburbia and don't use any pesticides in the backyard, notwithstanding snail baits that are iron based.
Have known we've had some type of frog/s for a while because every time it rains their pleasant calls are frequently heard.
Walked up the backyard a few days ago to feed the chooks and found this pair of croakers in the chook water reservoir, happily swimming around!
Since the chooks don't drink from this particular reservoir (I think they don't like the blue colour?), I took it out of their yard and placed it in a safer place, with a wire cover and a brick for them to climb on.
According to the web, it seems they may be the Common Eastern Froglet?
