Yes Blake, I thank you too. It is quite a commitment.

I was waiting to see if someone came up with the idea of creating a fb group. I just did simply to see if it could be done. I've made it a private group, because I don't know. If anyone is interested in joining, giving direction or whatever; I'm guessing I can make anyone an admin. I've named it bushcraft oz. I don't want it to be my group so any discussion on this (including name) is good. Anyone here who applies to join is in - also let me know if you want to be an admin too.
I had been thinking the same thing, I only have a Facebook account because a couple groups I’m a meme bet of migrated their platform to Facebook groups, seems to work well.
I’ll have to look up this other bushcraft group on FB, with over 8k I’m not quite sure what to expect! In my experience, when a ‘local’ (ie, Aussie) group gets big there are a lot of in active members, and unfortunately also quite a few tw@ts, I think because a Facebook has a much lower barrier to entry than taking the time to sign up for a dedicated forum.
I’ll go search it up now…

Another big thanks to Blake for providing this forum for so long. As well thanks to all the mods whom helped keeping the site a pleasant place to visit. It is good the site with its wealth of knowledge will be archived.

As I do not have a facebook account and not likely to ever get one if there are any Bushcraft.io groups about would be interested in them.

Apart from this a Merry Christmas to everyone here.

I have just started an Australian survival forum Chigger, I see no reason why we can not include bushcraft on this forum if you are interested. We can either use the present boards, or I can add separate bushcraft boards. I am always open to suggestions & changes.
Regards, Keith.

Thanks Keith for mentioning this and perhaps a bushcraft section would be of interest to others as well whom may have articles relating to bushcraft.
