Who’s interested in doing the Eagle View Trail in John Forrest National Park sometime soon?
Thinking of maybe a Saturday or Sunday early morning say 6am starting from the Pechey Rd carpark.
The total walk is 15km and I think from Pechey Rd might add another 1km each way.

I’m in dates permitting. It’s a good walk, I’d suggest doing it clockwise.

How about March 31st or 7th of April it should be a bit cooler then as well. Not sure which pub is worthwhile visiting afterwards? Hopefully somewhere that does a nice steak sandwich!

The pub in the park is not bad, but I don't know what the go is with entry fees if you're just going there?
Otherwise the Parkerville?
Both can get busy on a Sunday.

Prob best to park at the tavern, otherwise there is quite a walk in/out.

Just had a look at that and it would be approximately 4km extra return if we start from the carpark off swan view road.
Entry to John Forrest is pay per vehicle so if you want to meet up at my house and carpool from there everyone is more than welcome.

I will have to correct you on the Weir, as far as steak sandwiches go I would say 5/10

Mundaring Hotel boast about having the best steak sandwich in WA so maybe we should check them out.

Maybe a "sandwich off"?
We could rotate locations, and see who can come up with the best homemade steak sanger.
I nominate @uneekwahn's backyard for the first meet (meat!).

I have to say that the steak Sanger at MWH was very tasty....but you needed the jaws of a velociraptor or great white to get through the meat. It was tough as.
We had expert input into the cut being wrong for the sandwich.
