This scat has been washed by a heavy shower. It contains bone chips and what is
probably wallaby hair.

Dingo/Feral dog scat

This dingo/dog scat contained the tooth of a rat and other bones.
This looks a lot like what we saw today in the bush at Mt Victoria (NSW). Had a lot of hair in it, we saw quite a few droppings over about 500m on the walking track.. the last one we saw looked REALLY fresh! We were hoping to see something but we didn't 
For all the signs of Dingoes and feral dogs in my area I rarely see them.
They are heavily persecuted and very smart, at least those that live long enough are.
We have seen them more on trail cams traveling in the wee hours of the morning.
Their behaviour is probably different in National parks.

Way is it that K9's scat go's so white.??
Wondered this myself, it seems to bleach in the sun but not all dog scat does this.

It is because of the high calcium content... as Hairy observed not all bleach out, which shows the animal ate more flesh and when very dark, almost tar like shows the animal has been eating the internal organs...
It possible I have been told, to identify pack members by their scat... the Alpha and Beta dogs will have the darker scat as they get the choice parts of the kill where as the lower ranked animals will have more bone matter as the carcass is finished off.
