These tracks are quite unusual. It was taken on a gently sloping hillside some time after a soaking rain. Water is oozing slowly over the surface. A cow has at some time passed through the puddle. However, there is no silt in the water above the depression of the print. There is silt in the depression. It can only happen when the water flow is very slow, so turbulence does not displace the silty water in the depression, but washes away the unprotected silty water above the print (which would have been present initially when the foot left the water). The silty water in the depression is denser than the rain runoff due to the sediment load, so tends to stay in the bottom of the depression. Since any fast flow would cause turbulence and wash out the silt the print must have been laid after the major rain had stopped and the runoff rate had tailed off to some degree.

Urine. So fresh the foam is still trapping air in bubbles. A few minutes old, made by some six to nine month cattle, deer would leave a siilar volume and drop.
