Common Name: Common Myna

Scientific Name: Acridotheres tristis

Family: Sturnidae

Order: Passeriformes

Other Names: Indian Myna, Indian Mynah.

Distribution: East and south-east coasts of Australia. Introduced from south-east Asia.

Habitat: Urban (human habitation), colonially roosts mainly in the non-breeding season in roof voids, bridges, and large trees.

Field Note
s: Yellow bill, facial skin, legs, feet. Black head, throat. Cocoa-brown body, white abdomen, undertail. Size: 23-25 cm.
