Distribution: Australia

Field Notes: Introduced species , it is estimated that there are 1,000,000 in Australia with now growth rate 8% a year. They have been used as meat, dairy and work animals. Approx. 7'1'' to the height of hump, can travell as fast 65km/h and as fast as 45km/h over lond distance.

As I understand it the last wild camels in the world are the ones in the Australian bush.

I'll second that, best meat I've tasted. If that was more generally known, we wouldn't have a million feral camels out west.
