Common Name: Brown Honeyeater

Order: Passeriformes

Family: Meliphagidae

Other Names: NA

Distribution: widespread in Australia. Rare in SA, not present in TAS or VIC

Habitat: Mangroves , woodlands to dense forests along waterways.

Field Notes: small-medium pale grey-brown with distinctive yellow behind its eye, yellow to olive wing patches and tail panels, pale grey below, darker olive brown above and has a long curved black bill. Young birds are paler with more yellow colouring and a yellow gape . Size 12 - 16 cm.
