Got away spent 3 days at Gladtonbry Creek Which ataches to Brooya State Forest, I won't show the camp area as it is a possible meet place for when Corin is in Brisbane. I will say it is a different setting though, and Brooya has heaps to offer Including abseiling and rock climbimg , Great wildlife both flora and fauna including a great variety of Fungi.
Anyway just a few pics as a Reci for a possible meet so won't go overboard incase we end up here so all who show up can add pics.

Thanks a lot, this is great. I found a rock shelter up there many years ago, but from memory it was about 2kms west of the creek, I didnt really take much notice of it at the time.
Now im keen to return and have a look around is it worth contacting forestry, surely they would have exact coordinates?

Mate at the meetup we checked out the area extensively and had a lot of fun doing so. We found evidence of stone tool creation at most of the climbing crags there. Hairyman and I returned for a second time and determined the actual site mentioned in the PDF to be what is known as the Rain Cave, where they do bouldering when it's too wet to climb. It's a great are to check out. I'll be returning there to have yet another look around when I do some climbing over winter. If you have any other questions let em rip, we covered quite a lot of ground while we were there.

I recently did the 12+ hour drive down to Brooyar a few weeks back for a climbing trip, spectacular place! The rock is incredible and the bushland so beautiful. Was the furthest I'd been south, so quite different from what I'm use to, but totally awesome!

Wish I had have known about some of the indigenous history before the trip, would have made an effort to go for more an explore!

I managed to spend a couple of hours up there this morning, thanks guys for all the info, I found the shelter which was great, especially after reading the pdf. What a great site and area, I think I have found a new playground.
I took a waypoint while I was there for anyone interested in going and having a look.
S 26º09.027'
E 152º32.243'
Elevation 241m

Cheers
Paul
