Boots for kids.

Morning All,

My 6 year old daughter has finally grown out of her Blundstones. They are still in pretty good nick, so they may go to the 4 year old. Must be fun being the youngest.

Since she has loved them, and they have done so well by her, I was thinking of getting her a new pair, 2 sizes up.

Could anyone recommend a good place to by Blundstones,

Could anyone recommend a decent alternative?

My daughter uses a pair of timberland lace up boots. They even do small sizes which is great.

Not sure about where to buy - it depends where are you ?

My kids tended to out grow shoes quite quickly, so the "quality" never seemed too important (they would only last a season and be outgrown).
Whereas I still have a pair which are about 30 years old .... admittedly the are a bit "scruffy" and I do have a fancy pair which don't have holes ....

For what its worth, I switched from blunnies to Red Backs some years ago and have been happy with them....

Perhaps get a good fitting, inexpensive pair ?

Thanks guys. I used to wear Red Back steel caps, I did love them.

There is a place at West End in Brisbane that stock both, maybe I should drag her over there one day.

Hi! Children grow up very quickly, so I also have to buy new shoes for my daughter every year. We never buy shoes for growth. She is growing up and her taste in footwear and clothes change over time. This year we bought pink timberlands on forstepstyle. The daughter is crazy about it. She says that she is envy of all her friends. Of course, appearance is the main thing for her, but we try to buy high-quality and comfortable shoes, even if the boots will only last a season.

I have a pair of Rossi boots (Aust made) that do well for me. Don't know whether Rossi make childrens size boots though.

2nd the redback, in particular the Redback everest. I use them for walking in steep country with a day pack. They're not a stiff boot for carrying lots of weight. The best grip ever - I've tried many brands over the years.
