Distribution: South Western Queensland, Central Australia and parts of Western Australia

Habitat: Grasslands, shrubland and woodlands

Field Notes: The Woma python is an endangered snake. Growing to 3m in length with a brown body and dark brown bands. The head is generaly orange with gloss black eyes. They often create depressions in the sand in which they shelter and wait for prey.

The woma is a primary preditor of many of Australias venomous snakes and is immune to snake venom.
