On 2nd of June put a potato in the ground that had sprouted and today was pleased to dig it up. A good batch of potatos , 11 in all and just in time for Christmas dinner.

This is the first time I have ever grown potatos. Have three other bushes going strong, all flowered to guess the plants will die off in a few weeks and be ready for harvesting.

Nice. We've had a small patch of rocket for years now. Probably 3m x 1m. We eat it all the time in season - too much for us because the patch is so dense. It goes to seed and eventually we pull the plants and lay them down (when the ground is wet). They dry out and after a while it all kicks off again. We don't water but do give the patch some fertiliser.

We've also got a regular lemon verbena bush - it looks as though it is dead through winter, but comes to life again. Also some oregano, mint, and vietnamese mint - these all just keep growing.
