The stitching is rough and I was only using some cheap cotton cord and a very heavy needle I got off MDU.
Holes in vinyl seem to self-heal and hard to see so some of my stitches were guesses about where they should be.
That said, I really like this design. So much so, I added some cheap clips and will keep it in my EDC haversack.
It has enough space to hold my tarp (an old assymetrical Hennessy Hammock tarp), an Opinel #5 attached to a ferro rod with a length of leather cord, a Sawyer Squeeze and a flat pack water bladder (one of those cheapy plastic types) and a length of Bunning knock off paracord.
This covers my 5 Cs with space to spare.
So I then decided to use that space.
I added a small mint tin, which I have a half dozen fire straws, a few bandaids, a few ibuprofen, some fishing leads which could double as snares if required, a small fishing lure and a Bic mini lighter.
Add to that a mini hobo fishing reel, which is a plastic cotton reel with about 20-30m of fishing line on it. I had Dremmeled out the centre and put a plastic match container in there. This holds four small lead weights wrapped in tape, a half dozen small hooks, a tiny magnet, some safety pins, two small lure lights and a few small needles in very thin tube and wrapped with about 10m of cotton thread.
That is a lot in a 15cm x 18cm x 5cm pouch. I plan to make the same design in leather, with more attention to my stitching and finishes.

How can I ever get lost when everyone is always telling me where to go?
I premarked the holes with a leather, pointed wheel but the vinyl was pretty soft. So much so, I was finding it hard to find the markings, hence the dodgy stitching.
BTW, I forgot how sharp the needle was, until I tried to sew my fingers into the design. Lol
Thanks guys. I think you are being most generous.
I dug through my leather stock tonight and I will not have enough stiffer leather to make this design.
I am thinking I will possibly make a sporran-style pouch or similar, anyway.

Oh wow. Cheers mate. I am thinking if I go along the sporran line, I will need less stiifer leather and more of my suede stuff, which I have a lot more of. Where do you get your leather from in WA? And how much would you pay for that? Most of the leather I use comes from what my mother-in-law gave me and a few pieces I have picked up from old bags etc
Cheers
