    Roadside foraging - Autumn Harvest

    While traveling in the countryside I often notice trees which have sprung up on waste land, along creeks etc

    There is a bounty to be had if you keep a lookout.

    (Actually its a bit late for apples now. There was a couple on this tree, and they were half eaten .... a bit of cleaver photography on my part make them look good )

    Blackberries, plums and other stone fruits are common too, and an occasional fig. A few weeks back I found a macadamia tree with lots of nuts. Nice !
