Mate, I wouldn't mind a bit of a Kayak. Haven't done it for years! Also up for a bit of a walk. Plenty of time to do both....!! MDU seems to have gone AWOL. Perhaps he'll be free to join us as well.......

    Hi,

If this is still on I'm interested in joining.

I have wheels as far as Dwellingup but only 2WD.

BOD, the more the merrier. I only have two kayaks but welcome to join us. I have a 4WD so can jump in with me. I am coming up from Albany Friday night and will stay wherever. Chris is meeting me at the Blue Wren Cafe, heart of Dwellingup, at about 7am Saturday for brekky then we'll go find somewhere to hide. Maybe you two can talk and meet up somewhere?
Anyone else along for the ride? Nice to see it's not just Chris and I again. He's probably sick of all my stories...
    Cheers

    Ok.

Will negotiate a 2 day leave pass from the missus.

I have a sit-on-top FINN but no roof racks as yet. Is it safe to leave a car at the Blue Wren?

It's across the road from the cop shop. I have asked the cops in Margaret River if I could park my car in their yard while I did the Cape to Cape and they were more than happy to do so. You can only ask, I guess.

No leave pass this weekend from the missus. Sorry.

She's got the bit between her teeth on repainting the house and getting sorted for the school year.

Will try and get away when the kids are in school.

    No problems, mate.
I think we have to change our tactics a bit and hold family-friendly "camping trips" which just happen to be bushcraft activities. Wives get to glamp it up if they wish, and the Dads and the kids go off and get some family time together rubbing sticks together, building shelters and playing with sharp implements (except for you Thrud. I hope that is not hereditary! ). Might be the way to go for one around April maybe.
Bugger, there I go again, thinking too far ahead.....actually early May might be better, fire bans are usually lifted by then.....
    Cheers

I'm free most weekends. The idea of family is good for me also. Good idea Bloffy.

April should bring the ability for fire again.. can't wait.
