    Girl downloads app on phone to find location for emergency services :

    Don't know how many heard this story on the news , and not sure how to download app's , so it made me laugh and appreciate that these people could call in help under an emergency situation .

    So long as the poor girl didn't have to wait for a Windows update in the meantime...That lil lady deserves her Certificate. Nicely done I think.

    It's a good app to have it can pick up the lat and long in under second but with all things mobile phone related you need phone reception. Everyone should download it. I have a friend who deals with coordinating air rescues in Tasmania and he says that the app helps to find people with ease.

    I am going to have a look at downloading it too .
    So lucky to live in a country where there's people good enough and prepared with technology ,that people could and would show up in a life threatening situation .

    I and my partner's teenagers have it, too. Dead easy to use. It can SMS emergency services with an exact address, as well as obviously dial the number.
    The kids (young adults) like it because they don't always pay attention to where they are hanging with mates, and "somewhere in [suburb], I think" isn't going to cut it if the shit hits the fan.
