    Thanks Bloffy.

I would have paid good money to see your collapsing hammock...

However, to coin one of your phrases, "photos or it didn't happen"

Perhaps they were all of the sky

MDU: I didn't mention it. I deliberately left it out....lol
We don't talk about dampers, do we now?
Okay. MDU made a damper.....there you go. Happy now? Hahahaha.
No, jokes aside it was very tasty and worth the three hour wait......
Thanks again. It was a good weekend.
@ Thrud: you're right. There ain't no photos so it didn't happen......
Missed a great weekend. And no-one managed to cut themselves.
    Cheers

Thankfully Bloffy didn't make damper so our bowels were safe. I am sure he can do it though and look forward to having someone else make it.

It was a good weekend despite the intermittent rain that occurred both evenings. Still, the Sunday morning was warm and sunny and everything was nice and dry at pack-up stage, so that's always a bonus.
Only disappointment was the lack of Yowie action....Where are you at hairymen?
I'm up for another meet ASAP as watching the bush TV sure beats watching the Gogglebox any day of the week.
As Bloffy rightly said, a few more members at the next meet would be a bonus.
MDU's damper was a great success and put Bloffy's burnt offering from the previous meet to shame. Sorry Bloffy, but Im calling it as I see it!
Ive spent the last couple of evenings converting an old sleeping back into an UQ for my hammock. All lovingly hand sewn so its not going to win any awards, but I'm hoping its going to be functional. I don't have the luxury of a Mrs Bloffy to do all my sewing for me!
Here's to the next time guys. Lets try and squeeze another one in before the end of the year if we can....

Talking of sewing, does anybody know if anybody in WA does (good quality) conversions for hammocks? I wouldn't mind having a side entry zipper added to my bottom entry Hennesey Explorer Deluxe Asym. I know there's a company in the US that does it but I think its only for local customers....

Bloffy, would your better half be up for the challenge???

I don't think I would like to push our relationship that far, mate. She might love me less and less, methinks. To be honest, her machines aren't really designed for the nasty things I ask them to do and she curses me every time I come up with another hare-brained scheme.
I would suggest a good canvas maker. I was recently quoted $100 for quite a complicated zip replacement job. He said the zip work was about $30. The difficulty was in a lot of the other stuff he had to do. I would think yours would not be so complicated.
Maybe some of the sewing gurus here might be able to give better advice.
    Cheers

    Thanks Bloffy

I don't want you to end up divorced, so lets not worry about it for now!! I'll probably get another Hennesey model with side zip entry in due course......

OK, who is up for a bit of a walk in the early autumn of 2018? I'm planning on doing the Kalamunda to Dwellingup section of the Bibb Track. A distance of about 211km give or take. Anybody interested in joining me......? I'm going to allow 10-12 days. Probably departing the Northern Terminus in early April....

Anybody who has done this section previously in one hit, I would value your suggestions/comments etc.

    Cheers,
    Chris
